Local authorities in Ohio counties with a population of one million or more would be prohibited from using traffic law photo-monitoring devices (traffic cameras) to enforce violations on interstate highways

Amends Ohio Revised Code section 4511.093, which currently allows local authorities to use traffic cameras with a law enforcement officer present at the device location

Population threshold is determined by the most recent federal decennial census

Existing restrictions on township constables, township police forces, and joint police district members using traffic cameras on interstate highways remain unchanged
