Amends Ohio Revised Code section 4717.04 to require the executive director of the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors to investigate violations of unlicensed funeral directing and unlicensed funeral home operations.

Empowers the executive director to cause prosecution of persons engaging in the business or profession of funeral directing without a license or operating funeral homes without proper licensing.

Upon finding probable cause, the executive director must direct an attorney employed by or contracting with the board to file a complaint and prosecute violators.

Allows the prosecuting attorney of the proper county or the attorney general to take charge of prosecution when requested by the executive director.
