Secretary of State must estimate and certify total additional expenses incurred if a primary election is held on a date other than May 3, 2022, within 90 days after all certificates of nomination for the 2022 general election are issued.

Additional expenses include costs incurred by the Secretary of State and boards of elections for conducting a primary election and any accompanying special election on an alternate date, including reimbursements to boards and payments required under section 3501.17 of the Revised Code.

General Revenue Fund appropriations for the Supreme Court of Ohio are reduced by the certified amount for fiscal year 2023.

Director of Budget and Management shall make all necessary accounting changes to implement the appropriation reduction.
