Addresses police reform through increased accountability for law enforcement misconduct, restrictions on certain policing practices, enhanced transparency and data collection, and establishment of best practices and training requirements

Acknowledges Derek Chauvin's April 20, 2021 conviction on all three counts (second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter) as a significant moment while arguing systemic criminal justice reforms are necessary to address disproportionate violence against African-Americans

Directs the Ohio House Clerk to transmit authenticated copies of the resolution to the President, Congress leadership, Ohio's congressional delegation, the Governor, and Ohio news media
