H.R. No. 240 - Memorial Resolution

• House of Representatives memorializes Gunnery Sergeant James W. Speedy, a U.S. Armed Forces veteran who died in service to his country.

• Speedy received military honors including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

• Speedy served as an administrative specialist with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, Marine Aircraft Group 26, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina.

• The resolution recognizes Speedy's selfless dedication and character, and extends condolences to his wife Chyanne, daughter Emmy, parents Dan and Dora, and siblings Charles and Jennifer.

• The Clerk of the House will transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Gunnery Sergeant Speedy's family.
