The House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly commends Elder High School on its 100th anniversary.

Elder High School opened in fall 1922 as an all-male, college-preparatory high school named after William Henry Elder, the second archbishop of Cincinnati, and originated from a ninth-grade addition to St. Lawrence Parish's elementary school in 1912.

The school has maintained a commitment to educational excellence by offering students a well-balanced curriculum that develops academic, practical, and interpersonal skills and has earned community respect.

The House commends Elder High School on its centennial and extends best wishes for ongoing success.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Elder High School.
