Prohibits public and nonpublic schools, school districts, interscholastic conferences, and athletics organizations from adopting rules that prohibit or obstruct wearing religious apparel (headwear, clothing, jewelry, or other coverings) during interscholastic athletics or extracurricular activities.

Bars requirements for participants to obtain advanced approval, written waivers, or other permission to wear religious apparel while competing or participating in athletic or extracurricular activities.

Allows schools, districts, conferences, or athletics organizations to limit religious apparel only if a legitimate danger to participants is identified due to the apparel, with the administrator required to offer all reasonable accommodations.

Provides immunity from civil damages for schools, districts, board members, employees, conference members, and athletics organization employees executing duties under this section, unless the act or omission constitutes willful or wanton misconduct.

Subjects violations of this section to civil action for damages, injunctive relief, or other appropriate relief.
