OH SB193

Prohibits political subdivisions from placing liens on property for unpaid water charges by amending sections 735.29, 743.04, 5722.03, 5722.04, 5722.10, 5723.04, 6103.02, and 6119.06 of the Revised Code.

Eliminates the ability to certify unpaid water rents or charges to county auditors for placement on real property tax lists and duplicates as liens.

Preserves alternative collection methods including court actions at law against property owners, tenants, or other liable parties.

Allows water service termination for nonpayment and partial payment acceptance of unpaid water charges in amounts of ten dollars or more.

Does not affect liens that were certified and placed before the effective date of the amendments.
