Changes Ohio Revised Code section 3313.601 to require school districts to provide a moment of silence each school day, rather than permitting it as optional.

The moment of silence is designated for prayer, reflection, or meditation upon a moral, philosophical, or patriotic theme.

Prohibits school boards, schools, and employees from requiring any pupil to participate in the moment of silence or related moral and philosophical activities.

Protects pupils from being required to participate in activities if contrary to their religious convictions or those of their parents or guardians.

Prevents school boards from adopting policies that establish religion or prohibit pupils from free, individual, and voluntary exercise of religious beliefs in primary or secondary schools.
