Allows board of education employees to use up to 480 hours of accrued sick leave for parental leave when becoming a parent listed on a birth certificate, a parent listed on a fetal death certificate of a stillborn child, or a legal guardian of a newly adopted child.

Allows board of education employees to use up to 60 days of accumulated unused sick leave for parental leave under the same three circumstances in section 3319.141.

Applies to employment contracts and collective bargaining agreements entered into on or after the effective date, while preserving existing contracts and agreements.

Repeals existing sections 124.38 and 3319.141 of the Revised Code and replaces them with amended versions containing the parental leave provisions.
