OH SB324

Eliminates district advisory councils for general health districts and transfers their duties and responsibilities to boards of county commissioners in each county.

Replaces references to "district advisory council" with "board of county commissioners" throughout Ohio health district statutes governing board appointments, fee approvals, district unions, and removal of board members.

Repeals section 3709.04 of the Revised Code entirely, which currently establishes the framework for district advisory councils.

Allows current board of health members serving when the amendment takes effect to complete their terms without being subject to removal by the newly empowered board of county commissioners.

Applies changes to 16 sections of the Revised Code (3701.57, 3707.34, 3709.012, 3709.02, 3709.03, 3709.07, 3709.071, 3709.08, 3709.09, 3709.10, 3709.19, 3709.28, 3709.35, 3709.41, 3717.25, and 3717.45).
