Ohio enters into the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, creating a streamlined licensure pathway allowing physicians to obtain expedited licenses in multiple member states while maintaining state medical board jurisdiction.

Eligible physicians must meet specific requirements including accredited medical school graduation, passage of USMLE or COMLEX-USA exams, completed graduate medical education, specialty certification, full unrestricted license in a member state, and clean disciplinary and criminal history.

Establishes the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission with two voting commissioners appointed by the state medical board to administer the compact and develop binding rules for member states.

Revises nurse aide training and competency evaluation program requirements, including provisions for COVID-19 pandemic waivers and updated criteria for meeting competency standards.

Appropriates $140,000 to the State Medical Board in fiscal year 2022 for operating expenses related to the compact implementation.
