Establishes a career pathways apprentice program administered jointly by the Department of Education, Department of Higher Education, the council office, and the state workforce development board for grades 9-12 students

Creates partnerships between schools, businesses, communities, local government entities, and nonprofit organizations to develop apprenticeship pathways in manufacturing, information technology, financial services, business operations, healthcare, and education

Provides information and technical assistance to high school students enrolling in the program and reduces obstacles to compatibility with existing state education requirements

Allows the program to incorporate or work with other existing apprentice and pre-apprentice programs already operating under state law

Requires the Department of Education and partnering state entities to adopt administrative rules for the program
