OH SB69

Amends Ohio higher education law to allow students enrolled in noncredit career and technical programs for in-demand jobs at community colleges and state community colleges to be eligible for Ohio College Opportunity Grant Program financial aid.

Creates new section 3333.168 requiring the chancellor of higher education to establish policies and procedures for awarding credit for career or technical certification programs at community colleges and state community colleges and applying that credit toward an associate degree in a related field.

Modifies section 3333.20 to require community colleges and state community colleges to award credit for career or technical certification programs and apply that credit toward an associate degree in a related field in accordance with the new section 3333.168 policies.

Maintains existing eligibility requirements for grant awards, including maximum expected family contribution of $2,190 and enrollment at qualifying institutions.

Repeals existing sections 3333.122 and 3333.20 of the Revised Code.
