• Establishes the Office of Asian-American and Pacific Islander Affairs led by a director appointed by the commission, responsible for serving as a clearinghouse for proposals, applying for grants, monitoring programs, and establishing advisory committees.

• Commission members meet at least six times annually with six voting members constituting a quorum; voting members receive per diem compensation up to one day per month plus reimbursement for expenses.
