Proposes amendment to Section 6 of Article I of the Ohio Constitution to prohibit involuntary servitude in the state for the punishment of crime.

Requires three-fifths majority approval from both houses of the General Assembly to submit the proposal to voters.

Scheduled for voter approval at the general election on November 2, 2021.

If adopted by a majority of voters, the amended section takes effect immediately and repeals the existing constitutional language allowing involuntary servitude as criminal punishment.
