Department of Public Safety shall update emergency management plan requirements by December 1, 2024, to include accommodations and safeguards for evacuating students, staff, and visitors with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Each school district and school administrator must update their emergency management plans by July 1, 2025, to include disability evacuation procedures based on the Department of Public Safety's updated requirements.

For each student with an individualized education program or identified disability under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, administrators must update the student's education plan to include specific evacuation accommodations if not already included.

Exempts single-story school buildings that have ramps with nonslip surfaces at each entrance and exit from the emergency management plan update requirement.

Amends sections 3314.03, 3326.11, and 3328.24 of the Revised Code to add section 5502.264 regarding disability evacuation accommodations for community schools, STEM schools, and college-preparatory boarding schools.
