• Mandates health benefit plans and Ohio Medicaid programs to cover the cost of prescription readers provided by licensed terminal distributors of dangerous drugs.

• Exempts institutional pharmacies, government-operated pharmacies, jail and correctional facility pharmacies, and drug repository program pharmacies from the prescription reader requirement.

• Applies to in-person transactions where the pharmacy has reason to believe the customer is blind or visually impaired, and to all mail delivery transactions.
