HB 533 Summary

• Amends section 4501.21 and enacts section 4503.512 of the Ohio Revised Code to create "Iota Phi Theta" specialty license plates

• Vehicle owners may apply to display "Iota Phi Theta" plates featuring a logo and words selected by the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated Delta Theta Omega chapter in Ohio and approved by the registrar

• Requires a $15 contribution per registration and renewal, plus a $10 administrative fee; the $15 contribution is deposited into the license plate contribution fund and distributed to the fraternity chapter for scholarship, leadership, citizenship, fidelity, and brotherhood programs

• Repeals existing section 4501.21 and consolidates specialty license plate contribution fund provisions into the new section
