• Amends Ohio Revised Code sections 2923.13 and 2923.14 to add prohibition on firearm possession for persons who are aliens unlawfully or illegally present in the United States.

• Violation of the prohibition constitutes having weapons while under disability, a felony of the third degree.

• Persons prohibited from possessing firearms may apply to court of common pleas for relief from disability, except those convicted of certain violent offenses or with multiple felony convictions involving weapons specifications cannot petition.

• Court may grant relief if applicant has been discharged from custody/parole, led a law-abiding life, and is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing firearms.

• Relief granted by court restores civil firearm rights and may be revoked for good cause or automatically voided if applicant commits specified offenses or falls into prohibited classes.
