H.B. No. 6 - Save Women's Sports Act

• Requires schools participating in interscholastic athletics to designate separate teams based on sex: female teams in female divisions, male teams in male divisions, and co-ed teams where applicable.

• Prohibits schools and athletic organizations from knowingly allowing individuals of the male sex to participate on teams designated exclusively for female participants.

• Applies the same sex-based team designation requirements to state institutions of higher education and private colleges that are members of NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA.

• Prevents state agencies and accrediting organizations from processing complaints, investigations, or taking adverse action against schools or colleges for maintaining separate single-sex athletic teams.

• Creates private causes of action for participants harmed by violations, allowing recovery of damages including psychological and emotional harm, attorney's fees, and costs; civil actions must be initiated within two years of the violation.
