OH HB62

Amends Ohio Revised Code sections 2307.601, 2901.05, and 2901.09 to restrict duty to retreat protections to a person's own residence only.

Removes the no-duty-to-retreat protection for vehicles and places where vehicles owned by immediate family members are located.

Maintains the no-duty-to-retreat protection when a person lawfully is in their own residence and uses force in self-defense, defense of another, or defense of their residence.

Prevents triers of fact from considering the possibility of retreat as a factor when determining if a person reasonably believed force was necessary to prevent injury or loss of life.

Repeals existing sections 2307.601, 2901.05, and 2901.09 of the Revised Code and replaces them with amended versions.
