• Prohibits community addiction and mental health service providers from referring clients to uncertified recovery housing residences beginning January 1, 2025, and restricts advertising of recovery housing unless the residence meets certification or accreditation requirements.

• Updates terminology throughout statute from "alcoholism" to "alcohol use disorder" and clarifies board duties regarding Medicaid recipient information exchange with the Department of Medicaid, with standards and procedures to be developed by December 31, 2024.
