• Prohibits civil penalties or fines for citations issued under this section and prevents citations to schools actively working toward compliance regardless of timeline.

• Designates this legislation as the Ohio Childhood Safety Act and requires the fire marshal to adopt rules in coordination with the board of building standards for implementation.
