Reinstates the Joint Education Oversight Committee as a joint legislative body of the Ohio House and Senate, which was previously abolished by H.B. 166 of the 133rd General Assembly

Committee consists of 10 members total: 5 from the House and 5 from the Senate, with majority and minority party representation (3-2 split from each chamber)

Committee's duties include researching education policy issues, evaluating education programs at school districts, community schools, STEM schools, and state institutions of higher education that receive state funding

Grants the committee authority to issue subpoenas, request data from state agencies, and compel the Director of Education and Workforce or Chancellor of Higher Education to appear before it

Appropriates $376,663 for fiscal year 2026 and $378,668 for fiscal year 2027 from the General Revenue Fund for the committee's operating expenses
