Removes the "dead man's statute" (section 2317.03) that previously restricted testimony by interested parties in cases involving decedents' estates or transactions with deceased persons

Modernizes language throughout court procedure statutes, replacing gendered pronouns with gender-neutral terms and updating outdated references to court rules

Eliminates obsolete statutory provisions related to grand jury proceedings, criminal depositions, and arraignment procedures that are now covered by the Rules of Criminal Procedure
