School districts and schools may now select which nationally standardized college admission assessment to administer to 11th-grade students, with options including ACT, SAT, Classic Learning Test (CLT), or any other valid, nationally norm-referenced college admission examination

State institutions of higher education in Ohio that require a nationally standardized assessment for admissions must accept all assessments listed in the law, including the CLT alongside the ACT and SAT

Parents or guardians of students who entered 9th grade on or after July 1, 2022 may opt their child out of taking the nationally standardized assessment entirely

The bill removes the previous requirement that the Department of Education and Chancellor of Higher Education jointly select which assessments districts could offer, giving selection authority directly to individual districts and schools
