Incarcerated offenders have up to one year after release to begin payments and must enter a payment plan for any arrearage; payments continue past age 18 if balance remains unpaid

Allows courts to award child maintenance in civil wrongful death actions when the deceased defendant caused the death through felony OVI and the victim had surviving minor children

Payments are made through the clerk of courts as trustee, who must remit funds to the surviving parent, legal custodian, or guardian within three business days of receipt
