Ohio Department of Children and Youth and Department of Public Safety must develop an informational notice on firearm storage best practices, available in English, Spanish, and Arabic

Notice must include FAQs about firearm storage requirements and guidance on obtaining gun locks and safes, including free or low-cost options

Schools (public districts, community schools, STEM schools, and nonpublic schools) must annually distribute the notice to parents/guardians of enrolled students electronically, by mail, or online

Both state departments must post the notice on their websites, and all schools must post links to those pages on their own websites

State departments, schools, and their officers, board members, and employees receive civil liability immunity for damages related to the informational notice
