Exempts unintentional fetal death resulting from life-saving medical procedures on the pregnant woman (when reasonable steps are taken to save the unborn child) and spontaneous miscarriages

Provides a duress defense for mothers who are the object of threats, and applies the same due process protections available in homicide cases involving born persons
