OH HB400

Creates a permanent absent voter list allowing registered voters to opt in and automatically receive absentee ballot applications for all future elections without submitting a new request each time

Requires county boards of elections to establish and maintain the permanent absent voter list, and to mail absentee ballot applications to listed voters no later than 45 days before voter registration closes for each election

Adds a checkbox to voter registration forms, online voter registration applications, and absentee ballot applications enabling voters to request placement on the permanent absent voter list

Allows voters to be removed from the permanent absent voter list by submitting a written request to their county board of elections or upon cancellation of their voter registration

Requires the Secretary of State's voter registration information brochure to include information about the process for joining the permanent absent voter list
