Villages may contract with the county prosecutor for legal services as an alternative to hiring independent legal counsel, with approval from the board of county commissioners

For villages located in more than one county, contracts must be made with the prosecuting attorney of the county where the majority of the village's territory is located

Contracts may include payment of a fee to the prosecuting attorney for legal services, with funds deposited into the prosecuting attorney's legal services fund in the county treasury

Amends Ohio Revised Code sections 309.09 and 733.48 to add villages to the list of entities eligible to contract with county prosecutors, alongside existing provisions for townships, park districts, fire districts, and other local government entities
