OH HB533

Amends Ohio Revised Code sections 2903.06 (vehicular homicide) and 2903.08 (vehicular assault) to expand the list of vehicles that can be used to commit these offenses

Adds under-speed vehicles, motorized bicycles or mopeds, motor-driven cycles or motor scooters, all-purpose vehicles, utility vehicles, and mini-trucks to the existing list of covered vehicles (motor vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, locomotives, watercraft, and aircraft)

Applies the expanded vehicle list to both vehicular homicide offenses (causing death through OVI, reckless operation, negligence, or traffic violations) and vehicular assault offenses (causing serious physical harm)

Maintains existing penalty structures ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree felonies depending on circumstances such as prior offenses, OVI involvement, and whether the offense occurred in a construction zone
