Food processing establishments and retail food establishments must register kratom products with the Ohio Director of Agriculture before selling or distributing them

Kratom products cannot contain controlled substances, synthetic kratom-like compounds, or 7-hydroxymitragynine levels exceeding 2% of alkaloid composition and 1 milligram per serving

Sales of kratom products to individuals under 18 years of age are prohibited

Product labels must state the amounts of mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine contained in the product

Reckless violations of product standards or age restrictions constitute a second-degree misdemeanor, and individuals may bring civil actions for damages resulting from violations
