Any financing agreement made in violation is automatically void, with the lender or seller losing all rights to collect principal, interest, or charges, and having no security interest in the animal

Violations are classified as unfair or deceptive trade practices under Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Section 1345.02)

Injured borrowers may pursue legal remedies available under consumer protection law, and the Attorney General retains full enforcement powers

The Superintendent of Financial Institutions, borrowers, or county prosecuting attorneys may bring actions to enjoin violations
