Ohio General Assembly urges Congress to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education, arguing education is a state power under the Constitution and federal involvement has not improved academic outcomes

Calls for establishing a state task force involving the Governor's office, Department of Education and Workforce, and Attorney General to create a comprehensive plan for Ohio to assume full responsibility for federal education programs including Title I funds, special education, and civil rights

Directs Ohio's Department of Education and Workforce to inventory all federal education programs and grants administered by the state, including funding amounts and reporting requirements

Requests the Attorney General review all state statutes and regulations that reference federal education laws

Commits Ohio to cooperate with other states on joint waiver requests and coordinated negotiations with the federal Department of Education to transfer education authority back to states
