Ohio House Resolution 38 honors the memory of Ross Allen Boggs, Jr., a former Ohio State Representative who served from 1983 to 1999 and attained the rank of House Minority Leader

Boggs played minor league baseball for the Washington Senators organization and worked as a junior high school history teacher, football and basketball coach, and athletic director at Pymatuning Valley Local Schools

He held public service positions including Andover Township trustee and Pymatuning Valley Local School Board member, and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18

Boggs was married to his wife Eleanor for nearly 69 years and had four children, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren

The resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit an authenticated copy to the Boggs family
