Pharmacists and supervised pharmacy interns may dispense ivermectin without a prescription to individuals 18 years of age or older, provided they follow a prescriber-established protocol

Required protocols must include a screening risk assessment tool, a standardized fact sheet describing indications, contraindications, proper usage, and the importance of prescriber follow-up

Pharmacists may charge an administrative fee for dispensing services and must notify the individual's primary care provider of the dispensing as soon as practicable

Pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and prescribers acting in good faith are protected from criminal prosecution, professional disciplinary action, and civil liability except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct

The State Board of Pharmacy must adopt rules in consultation with the State Medical Board and Board of Nursing to establish minimum protocol requirements for prescription-free ivermectin dispensing
