Requires food processing establishments and retail food establishments to register kratom products with the Ohio Director of Agriculture before processing, manufacturing, distributing, or selling them

Prohibits kratom products from containing controlled substances, synthetic kratom-like compounds, semi-synthetic alkaloids where mitragynine is not the majority alkaloid, or 7-hydroxymitragynine levels exceeding 2% of alkaloid composition and 1 milligram per serving

Mandates product labels display the amounts of mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine contained in kratom products

Bans sales of kratom products to individuals under 18 years of age

Establishes reckless violations of product composition standards or age restrictions as second-degree misdemeanors, with civil penalties for registration and labeling violations to be set by administrative rules
