Prohibits nonprofit hospitals from requiring physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses to sign noncompete agreements as a condition of employment

Allows a limited exception: nonprofit hospitals may require a noncompete restricted to 15 miles from the employee's work location for a maximum of 6 months

Excludes management employees who formulate policy, direct policy implementation, or have major roles in personnel administration from these protections

Permits hospitals to restrict outside employment during the term of the employment contract without limitation

Any waiver of these noncompete protections by an employee is void and unenforceable; employees may sue for damages and attorney's fees if hospitals violate these provisions
