Expands State Highway Patrol security responsibilities to include the Lieutenant Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor-elect, and eligible gubernatorial candidates upon request and at the Governor's direction

Defines "eligible candidate" as those endorsed by a state party central committee, nominated in a primary election, certified as independent candidates, or any statewide candidate the Governor deems requiring security

Appropriates $10 million total ($5 million for FY 2026 and $5 million for FY 2027) from the General Revenue Fund to the Security, Investigations, and Policing Fund for these security details

Expands trooper authority to provide non-emergency assistance to other peace officers at the request of any sheriff or chief of police, in addition to existing emergency assistance provisions
