Ohio public schools must include fetal development instruction as part of any curriculum addressing human growth, human development, or human sexuality, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year

Fetal development instruction must include a high-quality, computer-generated animation or high-definition ultrasound video at least three minutes long showing development of the brain, heart, and other vital organs in early fetal development

Requirements apply to city, local, exempted village, and joint vocational school districts, as well as community schools (charter schools), STEM schools, and college-preparatory boarding schools

New section 3313.6034 of the Revised Code is enacted to establish these fetal development instruction requirements

Amends sections 3313.60, 3314.03, 3326.11, and 3328.24 to add compliance with the new fetal development instruction requirements to existing school obligations
