Authorizes township police departments to provide school resource officer (SRO) services to chartered nonpublic schools located within their territorial jurisdiction, with approval from the board of township trustees

Expands the definition of "school resource officer" to include peace officers appointed through memoranda of understanding between law enforcement agencies and chartered nonpublic schools, not just public school districts

Requires chartered nonpublic schools using SRO services to enter into memoranda of understanding with law enforcement agencies addressing program goals, officer training requirements, roles and responsibilities, and protocols for handling criminal activity versus school discipline

Grants chartered nonpublic schools a transition period through the 2025-2026 school year during which they may use SRO services without meeting the standard training requirements or formal memorandum of understanding

Maintains existing requirements that SROs complete basic peace officer training and at least 40 hours of specialized school resource officer training within one year of appointment
