Requires all Ohio high school students entering ninth grade on or after July 1, 2029 to complete one unit of computer science to graduate, which must include instruction on artificial intelligence

Mandates all school districts, community schools, STEM schools, and college-preparatory boarding schools offer at least one in-person computer science course by the 2028-2029 school year

Allows students to satisfy the computer science requirement through science credit, elective credit, mathematics credit (if advanced computer science), or foreign language credit

Requires the Department of Education and Workforce to adopt an approved course list by July 1, 2027 and publish annual reports on computer science education with demographic data on student enrollment and instructor information

Permits schools unable to offer in-person instruction to submit action plans for virtual course alternatives and allows partnerships with community colleges to provide computer science instruction
