Public employees working at government-owned hospitality facilities (parks, pools, golf courses, hotels, theaters, convention centers, marinas, restaurants, and retail establishments) may accept tips in addition to their regular wages

Creates an exception to existing Ohio ethics laws (sections 102.03 and 2921.43) that currently prohibit public employees from accepting things of value related to their duties

Public agencies are prohibited from using gratuities as a credit toward minimum wage requirements or paying tipped employees less than other employees in similar positions

Gratuities accepted under this provision count as earnable salary for Ohio public employee retirement system purposes (PERS, alternative retirement plans, and SERS)
