State employees, county employees, and township employees would receive 8 hours of holiday pay for Democracy day under the same terms as other legal holidays like Labor day and Thanksgiving

Boards of education would be authorized to dismiss schools on Democracy day, and nonteaching school employees employed 9+ months would receive paid holiday for the day

Adds Democracy day to the list of "business days" excluded from time calculations for home solicitation sale cancellation periods under consumer protection law

Amends 8 sections of Ohio Revised Code to incorporate the new holiday across state employment, county employment, township employment, school district, and consumer protection statutes
