Reusable infection prevention textiles—including isolation gowns, surgical drapes, sheets, privacy curtains, and scrub suits—must be processed by hygienically clean certified facilities and meet CDC guidelines between uses

Facilities may request an exemption from the requirements by demonstrating to their licensing department that supply chain disruptions prevent compliance

Health care facilities must maintain records documenting their reusable textile percentages, and the Departments of Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Behavioral Health must establish violation reporting procedures
