Adds sexual orientation and gender identity or expression as protected classes under Ohio's civil rights law, specifying that any provision respecting sex discrimination includes discrimination based on these characteristics

Applies protections to employment (for employers with 4+ employees), housing accommodations, public accommodations, and other areas already covered by Ohio's existing anti-discrimination statutes

Adds mediation as an informal dispute resolution method the Ohio Civil Rights Commission may use before initiating formal hearings on discrimination complaints

Explicitly upholds existing religious exemptions currently in Ohio law

Amends Ohio Revised Code sections 4112.01 and 4112.05 to incorporate these changes
