Ohio Senate Resolution 171 honors the memory of Jack Cera, a former Ohio House of Representatives member who served from 1983-1996 and 2011-2020, including as Minority Whip in 2016

Cera worked as workforce development director for Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services and senior vice president of Sunday Creek Horizons

He volunteered with multiple local organizations including the Belmont County Port Authority Board, Bellaire Public Library and Park District boards, and girls softball associations

Cera is survived by his wife Becky, daughters Jaclyn and Bethany, and three granddaughters

The resolution directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy to the Cera family
