Ohio Senate Resolution 209 honors the memory of Trooper Nicholas P. Cayton, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty protecting Ohio citizens

Cayton served as an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper since 2012 and was named Trooper of the Year in 2022; he also played bagpipes for OSHP and the Steel Valley Pipes and Drums

Served in the Ohio Army National Guard with two overseas deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan

Survived by his wife Lynsey (married 18 years), children Turner and Romy, and parents Cindy and Duwane

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Cayton's family
